Chris was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs, where she met her high school sweetheart and the absolute love of her life. As a proud Air Force wife, she found a new passion and drive in every new place she called home. She was the most devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Words cannot truly do justice for the love she had for her family and her dogs. She loved to celebrate, anything. Christmas was her favorite holiday to decorate for, one Christmas tree was just not enough so she thought seven would be the perfect number. Chris achieved a lot in her life. She was a published author and a Mary Kay Director, she had also started back school at Auburn University at Montgomery to finish her degree, earning a minor in Psychology. She loved spending her free time doing puzzles, cheering on Auburn (WAR EAGLE), shopping, and traveling.
She is survived by her loving husband, Joseph Gootee; daughters, Meghan Gootee, Sydney Kimble and husband John, and Alaina Gootee and wife Kristina Ma; grandchildren, Zachary Kimble and Riley Kimble; sisters, Cheryl Bonk, Susan Taylor, and Kendall Poole; father-in-law, Edward Gootee Jr.; and several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, father, Nathaniel Kendall Poole and mother, Dorothy Lewandowski Poole; and mother-in-law, Beverly Kay Gootee.
