Charles Douglas Sadler, 51, born August 18, 1961, passed away Friday, June 7, 2013. He was born in Winston-Salem, NC, but lived most of his life in Montgomery, AL. He was predeceased by his Father, Wallace M. Sadler, Sr. (June 7, 1964) He is survived by his mother Ellen Sadler; two brothers: Wallace M. (Mac) Sadler, Jr. and Michael Sadler; three sisters: Claire Sadler Galmish, Rebecca (Becky) Sadler, and Carolyn Sadler. He deeply loved all his nieces and nephews; Wallace M. Sadler III (Amy), Jacob Sadler (deceased); Joshua Sadler, Ellen Galmish Abt (Harrison), and Montana Sadler, and three great-nieces, Avery, Aubrey, Sydney. He was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School, 1980.
Charles loved Auburn University and loved being part of the Auburn Family. He participated in power lifting while attending Auburn University from 1980 to 1984. He received his undergraduate B.S. degree in Education in 1984. He went on to receive his Master in Education from Alabama State University in 1997.
He was a great athlete in many sports growing up; including Baseball, Basketball, Football and Wrestling. He coached multiple sports through the years in Alabama and in Georgia.
He had a strong love for the Bible. He loved all kinds of Music and attended performances and concerts in Classical, String quartets, Jazz and Gospel music frequently. He loved to travel. He enjoyed trips to any beach, Alaska, Hawaii, Utah and other destinations.
He suffered a stroke in 2010, was partially paralyzed, and has been living in a Skilled Nursing Facility until recently.
