Catherine Ann Cook, age 69, of Wetumpka, Alabama passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023. Born to John Patterson III and Catherine Rose Kelly Cook, Cathy was predeceased by her husband William Charles Cook, her parents and her great nephew, Parker Gerhard Chase. She is survived by her brothers, John Michael (Pamela) Patterson of Montgomery and Thomas Dudley (Lynn) Patterson of Birmingham; her sister, Barbara Patterson of Troy; her brother-in-law, Al (Dudley) Cook of Opelika and sister-in-law, Cammie (Tom) O'Connor of Opelika; her nephews, Michael (Amanda) Chase of Montgomery, Daniel Patrick Patterson of Birmingham, Thomas Graham O'Connor from Austin, TX; her nieces, Lowrey Rose Patterson of Nashville, TN, Catherine Shelby Patterson of Birmingham, Kristine (Mike) Dobbs of Auburn, and Kelly O'Connor (Andrew) Mejia of Chicago, IL; her great nephew, James Andrew Mejia and great niece, Allie O'Connor Mejia of Chicago.
A member of Mulder Church, she was active in the Players and Prayers group as well as the Disciples Bible Study group. A graduate of Auburn University's Social Work program, she retired from the food stamp office (DHR) in the Montgomery office after a long career. She and her husband Bill loved Auburn football and their many schnauzers.

A family and friends visitation for Cathy will be held Friday, May 12, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, Alabama 36109, followed by a celebration of life memorial service at 11:00 AM with Rev. Jonathan Hart officiating. Services will conclude with an inurnment at the Cook family plot in Oak Hill Cemetery of Union Springs, AL at 3 pm.
