She loved to travel internationally, she never met a stranger, and she knew how to light up a room with her welcoming smile and of course her taste in jewelry. She was a true southern bell. You could find her where the weather was warm, the sun was out, and her toes in the sand. Don't let her favorite color, hot pink, fool you. She loved to spend time with family watching old westerns such as gunsmoke. She loved to spend weekends at the lake playing phase 10.
She is survived by her daughter, SAvannah M. Johnston; grandchildren, Alicia Nichole Johnston, David Jeremy Johnston and wife Nichole; great grandchildren, Journey Molly Lambert, Lyric Lewis, Bash Johnston, Taylor Messer, Tabby Messer, and Tatum Messer; and brother, Stephen Pridgeon.
She is preceded in death by her husband, David E. Carter; father, Harry W. Pridgeon; mother, Eloise Moore Pridgeon; and sister Harriett Ann Neiheart.
A visitation for Carolyn will be held Sunday, January 7, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Pentecostal Life Church, 3627 Stanley S, Montgomery, AL 36109, followed by a funeral service from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM.
