Carl Ray Cooper died Thursday, October 13, 2016 in his home in Wetumpka. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Lonnie & Fannie Cooper; 4 of his siblings and his son, Gary Michael Cooper. He is survived by: his wife, Betty Cooper; a brother, Andrew Cooper; his children, Iris Renee Cooper and Alex Barry Cooper (Connie). His grandchildren include: Tyler Gates (Penni), Evan Cooper and Morgan Sandlin (Hunter). Very soon his legacy will expand to include a great grandson: Liam Gates. Working for Kershaw Manufacturing for 30+ years, he installed the hydraulics on the machines that cleaned up railroad tracks. He also enjoyed woodworking and Alabama football. Services for Carl Ray Cooper are scheduled at White Chapel-Greenwood Funeral Home on Monday, October 17 as follows: Visitation- 10:00 am, Memorial Celebration- 11:00 am and Graveside to follow.
