Bonnie Faye Edwards

Bonnie Edwards, age 96, of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2024. She was born on September 6, 1927, to Bardie C. Hill and Mary Lou Hill. Bonnie was a Proverbs 31 wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, homemaker, dedicated to seeing to her family…woman of noble character. She and her husband, Earl Edwards, loved each other deeply and always only had eyes for each other for their sixty-six years of marriage, till his passing.

Bonnie loved and believed in Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. She loved worshipping the Lord, and was a faithful long-time member at Heritage Baptist Church. She loved to sing, and was a long-time member of the Heritage Choir. A member until physically unable to attend Heritage. She enjoyed family and friend gatherings…cooked and baked for everyone on all occasions…wonderful cook.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bardie and Mary Lou Hill; her beloved husband, Earl K. Edwards; her son-in-law, Russell A. Caprara; her great-granddaughter, Lauren Nicole Taff; and Bonnie’s 5 siblings, Hazel Brown, Hennon Hill, Jeanette Meadows, Harold Hill, and Glenn Hill.

Bonnie is survived by her children, Brenda Edwards Caprara, Jenny Edwards Bortolazzo, and Kenny Edwards (Debbie). Her grandchildren, Shannon Baker (Jeff), Ashley Edwards, Michelle Allred (Chad), Diana Claybrook, and Michael Waters as an honorary grandchild. As well as her beloved 9 great-grandchildren.

Bonnie will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Our hope, because of Jesus, we will someday be reunited with her in Heaven! Amen!

A visitation will be held at White Chapel-Greenwood Funeral Home at 909 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, Alabama, 36109, on Saturday, July 13, 2024, 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 AM. Services will conclude with a burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
