Billy Virgil Blue

Billy Virgil Blue, age 83, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022. Billy was born October 15, 1938 in Union Springs, Alabama to Hugh Nix Blue and Mary Swanson Blue. He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson Clint Lee Kuntz; two brothers Hugh (Sherron) Blue and Johnny Blue; a sister Mary Amos and a brother-in-law Alan Biggs. Mr. Blue is survived by his wife Dodie Blue; two children Billy (Lynn) Blue, Jr. and Deana (Kirk) Kuntz; two granddaughters Katelyn (Josh) Kelley and Aly Blue; two great grandsons Zeke Kelley and Tyson Kelley; four sisters: Rebecca Biggs, Annegene Davis, Helen (Don) Baggett and Frances Blue; as well his sister-in-law Becky Blue.

He graduated from Robert E. Lee in 1956 and served in the Army National Guard. He was a member of Eastmont Baptist Church and an avid fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide. He never turned down a chance to play dominoes. He will be deeply missed.

A visitation for Billy will be held Thursday, March 10, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, Alabama 36109, followed by a celebration of life chapel service at 11:00 AM. Services will conclude with a burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Grady Milstead will serve as officiant.

Pallbearers will be Bruce Davis, Randy Davis, Jeff Baggett, Chris Pouncy, Chad Vandervort and Judd Davis.
