Betty Jean Wilkes passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family on March 16, 2024. She was born and rain in Coffee County, Alabama and lived in the Montgomery area for many years. She was a long-term member Trinity Memorial and retired ICU and surgical LPN for Jackson Hospital. Betty enjoyed being an amateur photographer, devoted mother and grandmother and loving on her beloved puppy Snuggles.
She was preceded in death by her parents Richard Reuben Wilson and Lilly Flowers Wilson; husband Shannon D. Wilkes Jr.; brother William R. Wilson; sister Estell W. Stinson.
She is survived by son Daniel D. Wilkes (Kathy) and granddaughter Amber Little (James).
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday March 21, 2024 at Leak Memory Chapel at 11 AM with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Graveside Committal service immediately following in Greenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be as followed. Jim Wilson, Doug Wilson, Cody Dirickson, Jeff Dirickson, Tim Freeman, and Jim Foley.
