Mrs. Betty McHargue Bohannon, 78, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, October 31, 2016 at Baptist South Hospital. She is preceded in death by her parents; Johnnie R. McHargue and Vera Burt, husband; James A. Bohannon and a sister; Angela Sue McHargue. She is survived by her children; Ben Arthur and Tracy Arthur, brothers; Don McHargue and Jerry McHargue, grandchildren; Amanda Grimes and Deborah Arthur, great-grandchildren; Justin Mason, Cassidie, Ben and Korie Grimes and several nieces and nephews. She loved gardening, jewelry and crafts. She was a member of New Vision Baptist Church and she loved gospel music. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of White Chapel-Greenwood Funeral Home with burial to follow immediately after the service in Greenwood Serenity Cemetery.
