Barbara Allie Clark, age 85, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2023. Barbara was born to Fred Kern Sansom and Mavis Timms Sansom in the summer of 1938 in Montgomery, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 36 years, John D. Clark; her parents; her sister, Becky Rhodes; and her daughter, Pamela Bell.
Mrs. Clark is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Lynn Dennison (Robert Dennison); her grandchildren, John F. Dennison (Lane Copeland), Chris Johnson (Elizabeth Thomas), Melissa Maddox (Chris Maddox); her great grandchildren, Haylenn Johnson, John Robert Copeland, Kate Copeland, Lane Donald, and Cale Donald.
Barbara worked as a book-keeper at Bible and School Supply and served as a Records Clerk within the District Attorney's office. She enjoyed cooking, organizing church functions and her grandchildren. Known as "Grammy" to her grandchildren, her positive influence and warm encouragement is obvious in the life of each. She will be deeply missed.
Pallbearers will be Chris Johnson, John Dennison, Robert Dennison, Chris Maddox, Shannon Rhodes and Jason Rhodes with honorary pallbearers as Zachary Littlefield, Lane Donald and Cale Donald.
A family and friends visitation for Barbara will be held Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at 1:00 PM at White Chapel-Greenwood Funeral Home, 909 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, Alabama 36109, followed by a celebration of life chapel service at 2:00 PM. Services will conclude with a burial at Greenwood Cemetery.
