James Austin Tal Garrity, age 31, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022. Austin was born March 23, 1990 to Jill Benson (Javan Snowden) and Michael Garrity (Marjorie). He is survived by his parents; his daughter Brylee Lois-Elise Garrity; and his siblings Talor Garrity (Brandon Serritelli), Josephe Dre' Benson (Gabriella Patton), Michael Garrity Jr. and Timothy Newbrough (Angela).
Austin loved the outdoors and was a huge Auburn fan. He loved boating and fishing but especially enjoyed entertaining his friends with memorable pool parties and cookouts. A member of the Montgomery Zoo Association, he adopted a pygmy hippo in honor of his precious daughter, Brylee. The zoo and his love for animals were a great source of enjoyment for Austin and Brylee.
Honorary pallbearers for the service will be Joseph Dre' Benson, Javan Snowden, Brandon Serritelli, Michael Garrity, Jr., Timothy Newbrough II, Timothy "Trip" Newbrough III, Don Watson, Mike Waters, Joshua Summerlin, Jeremy Ray, Mathew Lawrence and Aubrey Mitchell.
A friends and family gathering for Austin will be held Friday, March 25, 2022 at 1:30 PM at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, Alabama 36109, followed by a celebration of life memorial service at 2:00 PM.
