Ann was born in June 24, 1943 to William Terrell III and Inabelle Godwin in Montgomery, Alabama and immediately brought joy and laughter into the world. Ann was the birth mother of 4 children and 4 step-children. She was an active member at her children’s schools and through their lives. She later ran a snack bar in downtown Montgomery for several years before beginning her career with the United States Postal Service as a rural route carrier. She loved her customer's and everyone’s children. She was a mother to all that knew her.
In 1985 Ann met Leo J. Blanchard in Montgomery, AL and the two were inseparable from that point on. Ann and Leo were married for over 36 years and have 8 children. Joseph Mills Urquhart III, William Norman Urquhart (Kimberly Urquhart), John Benjamin Urquhart (Gina Kirk Urquhart), Laura Angela (Urquhart) Cumbie (H Wayne Cumbie), Glenn John Blanchard, Timothy Lee Blanchard, Karen Lynn Blanchard-Hicks (Tim Hicks) and Kathleen Louise (Blanchard) Montgomery (Jim Montgomery).
Ann was a fiercely dedicated mom to all her children, raising all of them to go on to accomplish great things. Family came first and was above all else to Ann, a value she instilled in all those around her. The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill.
Ann was preceded in death by her father, William Terrell Crowder III, her sister, Jennifer Elizabeth Hill, her brother, William Terrell Crowder IV and her brother-in-laws, Marshal Author Wilson and Wallace Edward Hill. She is survived by her spouse, Leo J. Blanchard, her mother Inabelle Godwin Crowder, her sisters, Lynda Sue Wilson, Patricia Marlene Word and Sharon Louise Cameron (Carl Cameron), her children, their spouses, 17 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and her beloved dog Holley.
