Thomas "Tommy" Wayne Carroll

Thomas "Tommy" Wayne Carroll, age 80, of Helena, Alabama passed away on Monday, July 4, 2022. Tommy was born February 28, 1942 to Thomas M. Carroll and Alta Baker Carroll. He graduated from Thompson High School and served in the US Army. He was an owner and operator of a trucking business.

He enjoyed fishing with his sons, watching Alabama football and listening to country music.

Tommy will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert Carroll and Richard Carroll; sister, Sarah Durbin; and brothers-in-law, Frank Daniel and Lewis Knowles. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Martha Rotenberry Carroll; sons, Shane Carroll (Lynn) and Breck Carroll (Elaine); grandchildren, Haleigh Moore, Mallory Carroll, Lindsey Cook, Cruise Cook, Sydney Carroll, Cason Cook and Presley Carroll; sisters, Betty Daniel and Alice Knowles; brother, Gordon Carroll (Linda); honorary daughter, Tracey Hinds (Brian); and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Tommy will be held Thursday, July 7, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Rockco Funeral Home, 3715 Highway 25, Montevallo, Alabama 35115. A funeral service will occur Friday, July 8, 2022 at 10:00 AM with a committal service to follow at 11:00 AM at Alabama National Cemetery, 3133 Highway 119, Montevallo, Alabama 35115.
