Rosemary Haynie Allen, age 70, of Montevallo, passed away at home surrounded by family on October 30, 2016. Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents, Joyce and Jack Haynie and brother Randy Haynie. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Don Allen; daughter Angela Allen Dickey, beloved grandchildren Alex, Graham and Sarah Dickey; brother Philip Haynie and wife Barbara and many nieces and nephews. Rosemary was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church, Alabaster, where she and Don volunteered in the kitchen for many years. All who enjoyed the meals there still talk about “Rosemary’s rolls”. Special thanks to all the specialists at Hospice Services of Alabama and RN Teresa Hudspeath. Visitation will be on November 2 at Rockco Funeral Home, Montevallo, from 10:30-12:30. Service will be at 12:30 with burial to follow at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the “Food Closet” at the First Baptist Church of Alabaster.
