Richard Michael Patrissi, age 85, of Maylene, Alabama passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024. Richard was born in Bronx, New York to Michael and Marie Patrissi. He was an electrician by trade and worked on skyscrapers in Manhattan. He also enjoyed piloting and built two airplanes during the course of his life. He was a talented pen and ink artist, but his real artistry was showcased through his ship models, one of which is on display at the Oval Office at American Village in Montevallo. He was an avid Yankees fan and was known to enjoy a nice glass of wine. He was an animal lover, and his favorite feline companions were Butchie and Max. In his later years, Rich found friendship and comradery with Sandy and the gang at Salvatores where he held court every Wednesday and Sunday. He was especially devoted to his human friends and family, and will be terribly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, John Lenahan; and nephew, Paul Van Tine. He is survived by his gorgeous wife of 44 years, Barbara "Bobbie" Patrissi; stepchildren, Beth Jasso (Arturo) and Craig Neidel (Tracey); grandchildren, Kelli Ann Neidel, Amy Neidel, Isabel Jasso and Melissa Jasso; great-granddaughter, Alina Dragomir; siblings, Cecelia Parciasepe and James Patrissi; nieces and nephews, Rosemarie Van Tine, Dylan Patrissi, and Briana Patrissi; great-nephew, Evan Van Tine; great-niece, Maria Van Tine; and best friends, Chuck Buttel and Peter Muzio.
A memorial service for Richard will be held Saturday, April 6, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Rockco Funeral Home, 3715 Highway 25, Montevallo, Alabama 35115.
