Richard Benjamin Glascoe, 80, a recent resident of Montevallo, Alabama passed away August 30, 2024 in his home surrounded by loved ones. He was born September 21, 1943 in Jackson, Mississippi to Forest Lee Glascoe and Alice Lavonne Turner.
He was a long-time resident of Mobile, Alabama where he built a career as a Respiratory Therapist and was a long time church member at Oak Park Church of God.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah Rebecca Glascoe; brother, Harold Glascoe; daughter, Candice Leigh (Allen) Higdon; grandchildren, Elizabeth Erin Leigh Higdon, James Caleb Higdon, and Sydney Elise Higdon; and sister-in-law, Ivanna Glascoe.
He is preceded in death by his father, Forest Glascoe; mother, Alice Turner; son, Richard Scott Glascoe; brother, Carroll Glascoe; sister-in-law, Janet Glascoe; and lifelong friend, Jimmy Norwood.
A committal service for Richard will be held Thursday, September 5, 2024 at 12:30 PM at Alabama National Cemetery, 3133 Hwy 119, Montevallo, AL 35115.
