Patricia Ann Phillips

Patricia is survived by her husband of 65 years, Bobby Joe Phillips; children, Debra Byers (Richard), Michael “Butch” Phillips (Kim), Joan Knight (Mike), Keith Phillips (Mandy); grandchildren, Hunter Knight (Cameon), Adam Knight (Paige), Chase Byers (Candace), Kolton Byers (Allissa), Baylee Byers, Layne Phillips, Anna Caitlyn Phillips, Heath Phillips, Chance Phillips, Karsyn Phillips, Sadie Phillips, Layla Phillips; six great-grandchildren and her beloved Shiz Thu, Roo.

She was a member of the Prospect Baptist Church II in Calera, Alabama.

Pat retired from Chilton-Shelby Community Action after 23 years of service where she helped many less fortunate people. She enjoyed working with Senior Citizens, such as taking them to see the various Christmas light displays during the holidays.

Her happiest moments were being with her family and serving the community.

Christmas was her favorite time of the year. She was instrumental in creating the first nighttime Christmas Parade for The City of Calera.

Years ago, a favorite past time was fishing. Every weekend was a fishing competition. Pat loved boasting about either catching the most or the biggest fish.

She enjoyed decorating so much that she decorated a tree for each season. Her house was a point of reference for those in Calera where they lovingly deemed it as the “Christmas Tree House”.

A visitation will be held on Monday, August 1, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Rockco Funeral Home of Montevallo. Her funeral service will be on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at 10:00 am at Rockco Funeral Home of Montevallo with burial to follow at Alabama National Cemetery at 11:45 AM.
