Lois Naomi Brown

Lois Naomi Brown, age 87 of Brierfield, AL went to her heavenly reward on April 26,2019. She was preceded in death by her parents Rev. Horace & Nora Bell Headley, her husband Kyle F Brown Jr, six sisters (Elizabeth, Ruth, Ellen, Julia Nell, Yvonne, and Patricia) and three brothers (Gaston, Earl, and Joe).

She leaves behind five children, Debra Elliott, Steve Brown, Randall Brown, Wayne (Lisa) Brown, and Rebecca (Bryan) Owings. She was blessed with 8 grandchildren, Amy (Chris) Elliott, Melissa (Tim) Garza, Joseph (Jennifer) Elliott, Kathleen (Casey) Stone, Ben (Sierra) Owings, Grace Brown, Derrick (Kaela) Moore, and Miranda (Jeremy) Moore. She also was blessed with 14 great grandchildren.

Mama graduated from Verbena High School as the Valedictorian. She attended the University of Montevallo. She was a homemaker and a loving mother and grandmother. She and daddy were married for 62 years and were devoted to each other. Mama could cook, and she loved family get togethers, especially during the holidays. She loved the gospel and could always be found listening to and speaking the word. She was a bright light who gave her heart and soul to the Lord. She prayed for everyone she met. Her faith was strong, and she now relishes in eternal life. We look forward to one day rejoining with her warm soul.

Visitation is from 10 am to 11am followed by a funeral service at Ashby Baptist Church in Brierfield, Alabama. Interment will be at Old Union Church cemetery. Pallbearers include Joseph Elliott, Ben Owings, Bryan Owings, Jay Shepherd, Derrick Moore, and Tommy Epperson. Honorary pallbearers are the members Ashby Baptist Church.
