Kerri Ann Stricklin Stewart, age 43, of Alabaster, Alabama passed away after a hard fought battle with neuroendocrine carcinoma on Monday, September 30, 2024. Kerri was born in Birmingham, Alabama, the youngest of four daughters, and graduated from Hoover High School, Class of 1999. She earned her Bachelor's of Science from the University of Montevallo, where she met her future husband, Corey "Buzz" Stewart. She was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority. She worked in Human Resources for McLeod Software and was a member of First Baptist Church of Alabaster. Kerri loved her little dogs, arts and crafts especially scrapbooking and all things Disney. Most of all, she loved being the best mother she could be to her daughter, Brayli.
Kerri was preceded in death by her sister, Brandi Reach. She is survived by her husband, Corey "Buzz" Stewart; precious daughter, Brayli Stewart; parents, Lane and Judy Stricklin of Montevallo; sisters, Lani Moyer (Wes) of Orange Beach and Kristi Gentry (Mitch) of Alabaster; her parents-in-law, Johnny and Juanita Stewart of Andalusia; sister-in-law, Misty Mooney (Jim) of Andalusia; numerous nieces and a nephew.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to Hillary Moore and Agape Care Group Hospice for their skilled and compassionate care.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Alabaster, 903 3rd Ave NW, Alabaster, AL 35007. Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Alabaster, lying in-state from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM. A private committal service will follow at Montevallo City Cemetery.
