Janice Stephens Lucas

Janice Stephens Lucas, age 66, of Montevallo, Alabama passed away on Friday, September 24, 2021. Janice was born November 9, 1954 to Joseph and Lulla Mae Stephens of Pea Ridge, Alabama. She graduated from Montevallo High School and worked for Cahaba Pressure Treated Forest Products. Janice was a member of Mayberry Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. Janice loved cooking for her family, reading at the beach, and tending her garden. Janice commanded respect and valued honesty in those she surrounded herself with. She was a sweet wife, mother and grandmother that made her family proud. She will be terribly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Gregory "Ben" Stephens. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Thomas Lucas; children, Joshua Lucas, Jessica Sherrow (Robert), Jason Lucas and Rachel Singleton; grandchildren, Joey Sherrow, Noah Sherrow, Daniel Sherrow, Paul Lucas, Katherine Lucas, James Lucas, Jacob Lucas, Camryn Singleton, and Taylor Singleton; sister-in-law, Sandra Stephens; brother-in-law, Roy Lucas; nephew, Adam Stephens; and best friend, Doris Parker.

The family will have a Private Memorial Service.
