James Patrick Heck

James “Jim” Patrick Heck, age 60, of Montevallo, passed away unexpectedly on April 13, 2017. He was raised in Indiana by his mother and step-father, Patricia Sullivan Macks and Arthur Macks. He moved with his family from Pensacola, FL to Birmingham, AL in 1987. Jim lived in Montevallo for the past 6 years with his wife and he worked for Geo Stone. He was a hard worker, and always stayed busy. He loved fishing, working on his 6-acres, and spoiling his grandchildren. He was one of a kind, and his absence will be felt by all those closest to him. He was preceded in death his mother and step-father; father, Marlin Heck; and several siblings. Left to treasure his memory are his wife of 45 years, Sallie Elizabeth Alford Heck; son, James “Jimmy” Patrick Heck (Tiffany) of Gardendale; daughter, Amanda Lynn Heck (Joshua) of Pensacola, FL; grandchildren, Trevor, Austin, Emily, Lee, Kelly, Savannah, Noah and Lilly-Mae Heck; brothers, Dave Heck (Cynthia) of Pensacola, FL and Rusty Macks (Rebecca) of Montevallo; sisters, Jeanette and Michelle and nephews, Joey and Justin Macks. No services are planned, but the family welcomes your thoughts, prayers, calls and visits.
