Gordon Edwin Fancher, age 82, a lifelong resident of Pea Ridge, Alabama passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2023. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Montevallo. Edwin was an international man of mystery and notorious jokester. He particularly enjoyed his morning coffee with the other Romeos at McDonald's.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Bailey Fancher and Anna Inez Harris Bailey; and brother, Joseph Bailey Fancher, Jr. Known as Uncle Edwin, he is survived by his niece, Karen Fancher Butler; great-niece, Tiffany Weathers (Eric); great-nephew, Zach Haynes (Stephanie); his church family; and numerous friends.
A visitation for Edwin will be held Friday, August 11, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Rockco Funeral Home, 3715 Highway 25, Montevallo, Alabama 35115, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Rev. Lawton Higgs will officiate.
Edwin will be laid to rest in Macedonia Cemetery, Highway 22, Pea Ridge, Alabama.
