He was born in East Lake, Alabama to Betty Lou Chandler Tonnemacher and William Floyd Tonnemacher.
Floyd was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sara Tonnemacher; step-grandson, David W. "Bubba" Holloway, Jr.; and brother, Billy Tonnemacher. He is survived by his wife, Donna Tonnemacher; children, Brett Tonnemacher and Melanie White (Tucker); step-children, Jody Holloway (David), Katrina Duncan (Shane) and Justin Duncan (Kimberly); grandchildren, Kira White and Griffin White; step-grandchildren, Zachary Holloway (Natalie), Ashton Price, Alonnie Jane Holloway, Bayleigh Duncan and Braylynn Duncan; step-great-granddaughter, Fallon Holloway; and sister-in-law, Brenda Aldridge.
