Floyd "Ben" Lucas, age 97, of Montevallo, Alabama passed away on Friday, August 30, 2024. Ben was born Sept 27, 1926 to Henry and Frankie Lucas. He married Christine Butler Lucas on Oct 2nd, 1948. He was a veteran of WWII and served in the Navy. Retired from ABC Rail. He was preceded in death by Christine Lucas and infant daughter Rachael . Survived by sons, Benny (Carolyn) of Montevallo, and Philip of Montevallo. Grandsons Jason (Michelle), Matthew (Kimberly), Jeremy and Nathan (Lauren). Great grandchildren, Kayla, Tyler, Hunter, Henry and Riley.
A visitation for Floyd will be held Sunday, September 1, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo), 3715 Highway 25, Montevallo, AL 35115, with the funeral service to begin at 2:00 PM. Bro. Allen Foster will officiate.
Floyd will be laid to rest in Montevallo City Cemetery, Highway 73, Montevallo, Alabama.
