Mrs. Dorothy Jean Barnett

At Rockco Funeral Home at 2:00 pm, the burial will follow at Providence Cemetery in Montevallo. The family would like to welcome friends for visitation at Rockco Funeral Home on Tuesday at 1:00 pm.

Mrs. Barnett passed away peacefully in Birmingham on Friday.

Mrs. Barnett is preceded in death by her husband, Donald S. Barnett. They were married on February 10th of 1951. Her mother and father, Lura Mills and Nolyen Mills; sisters, Betty Barnett and Kay Arnold, infant great granddaughter, Alexa Rae Foster.

Mrs. Barnett is survived by her sons, Larry Barnett, Bruce Barnett (Karen), and daughter Larue Adams (Wesley); grandchildren, John Wayne Adams (Kelly), Jason Adams, Steven Barnett, Rachel Foster (Andrew); Four great grandchildren, James Adams, Ava Adams, Issac Adams, and Owen Foster.

Mrs. Barnett was loved by all who knew her. Her bright smile and friendly spirit will be missed. The family would like to give a special thanks to Atria Senior living, formerly known as Rocky Ridge Retirement Home, Angels of Mercy and Aveanna Hospice for all the wonderful care provided to our mother.
