Donald “Don” Edwin Whitten, age 78, of Montevallo, passed away February 5, 2015. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and Civitan International. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Emma Whitten; sons, Thomas Whitten (Karron) of Alabaster and Micheal Whitten (Monica) of Montevallo; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sisters, Pat Mack of Swansen, SC and Sarah Nell Odell of Raleigh, NC; and brother, Grady Whitten (Catherine) of Wilsonville.
The Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 1:00 PM at First United Methodist Church, Montevallo. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Civitan International, Relay for Life, or a charity of your choice.
