Donald R. Howard, 85 of Vestavia, grew up in Pratt City, and later lived in Pleasant Grove and Alabaster. Don was a retired Land Negotiator Southeast for US Steel, member of Pleasant Grove Lions Club, active member of Montevallo First Baptist Church, and avid Alabama fan.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie Howard; parents, James Howard, Jr. and Alma Dye Howard; and son-in-law, James Lord. He is survived by daughter, Donna Howard Lord; son, Mike Howard (Janet); sister, Joan Cody; and brother, Ralph Howard (Ann); grandsons, Ryan Hermecz (Stephanie), Michael Hermecz (Brittany), and Mark Hermecz; and great grandchildren, Rylan Hermecz, Tatum Hermecz, Logan Davis, Jacob Davis and Tyler Davis (Chelsea).
