David "Rex" Darrow Jr.

David "Rex" Darrow Jr., age 59, of Robertsdale, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023. Rex was born in Riverside, California and was diagnosed with special needs at a young age. He attended the Allan Cott School in Mountain Brook, Alabama and lived at home with his family until age 16. Following that, Rex was well cared for by staff at Partlow Development Center and various group homes in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He moved to Robertsdale to be with his brother and sister-in-law, and was well supported by ARC in Baldwin County. Rex was "good to go" and will be missed by his family who loved him dearly.

He is survived by his mother, Anne Bamberg (Lawrence) of Jemison; father, David Rex Darrow of Hueytown; sisters, Michele Ryan (Jeff) of Madisonville, LA, and Rachael Hadnott (Bobby) of Sugarland, TX; brothers, Mark Darrow (Bridgette) of Spanish Fort and Joshua Darrow of Brookside; many nieces and nephews; and dear friend, Patty Jo LaFever.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo) on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at 2:00 PM, with visitation to begin at 1:00 PM. Pastor Wes Kelley, First Methodist Church Clanton, presiding.

Pallbearers are Gabriel Darrow, Jeff Ryan, Dale Ryan, Daniel Bamberg, Russell Bamberg and Brian Thomas.
