Reverend Bob Savell

Reverend Bob Savell, age 81, of Montevallo, Alabama took his final flight on Friday, December 30, 2022. He was born March 23, 1941 in Neshoba County, Mississippi. He leaves behind his loving wife, Nancy Savell; son, Robert Savell; daughter, Lori Johnson; stepson, Steve Owen; grandchildren, Shea Griffin (Jeremy), Derrick Savell (Kailey), Craig Smitherman (Valerie), Jana Savell, Troy Savell (Melanie), Justin Savell, Brandon Johnson (Halie), Jennifer Williams (Ryan) and Steven Owen; twenty great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Martha Ann Savell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Annie Ruth Savell; daughter, Theresa Marie Savell; son, Michael Alan Savell; brother, Wayne Savell; and stepdaughter, Debbie Owen.

After pastoring in Mississippi, he later moved to Montevallo, Alabama and began the Voice of Truth Apostolic Church where he pastored for a number of years. He had been filled with the Holy Ghost for over 50 years and was a dedicated servant of God as a teacher of His Word. He was dearly loved by his family and church and will be greatly missed by all.

A Celebration of Life for Bob will be held Wednesday, January 4, 2023 with visitation from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Rockco Funeral Home in Montevallo with the service to follow at 1:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest in Montevallo City Cemetery.
