Blake Trevor "BJ" Berry, Jr., age 32, of Indian Springs, Alabama, passed away tragically on February 7, 2021. He was a graduate of Oak Mountain High School, Class of 2007. He worked as an independent contractor in residential remodeling, with dreams of one day starting Berry Good Construction. He enjoyed hunting, working on his truck, getting fit and listening to country music. He had a heart-warming smile and the most stunning blue eyes. He never met a stranger and would give you the shirt off his back. Above all else, he loved his daughter and his family with all of his heart.
Left to treasure his memory is his daughter, Dalila Hope Berry; his true love and mother of his child, Amber Cobb; his parents, Blake Berry and April Scurlock Berry; siblings, Maranda Berry Buttrey (Jack), Riley Berry, Dana Berry and Delana Berry; grandparents, Lee and Jackie Berry, and Lyndell Scurlock; numerous extended family; his beloved dogs, Nova and Ryder; and stupid hamster, Luvs.
The family will receive friends at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo) on Friday, February 12, 2021 from 4:00 until 6:00 PM, with social distancing and masks required. As he would want, please dress casually or in your camo. Because of limited seating, a private Celebration of Life will follow at 7:00 PM by invitation only. Guests may watch remotely at www.facebook.com/rockcofuneralhome or via livestream at the link below.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Special Equestrians Birmingham at www.specialequest.org or to Indian Springs School at www. indianspringsschool.org.
