Billie Ruth Lucas

Billie Ruth Lucas, age 83, of Wilton, Alabama passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2023. Billie grew up around Montevallo and was a long-time member of Wilton Baptist Church. She worked at Shelby Baptist Medical Center for several years. She spent her life dedicated to her family, and enjoyed cooking and sewing for them.

Billie was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Lucas, Sr.; her father, Joe Martin; her mother, Lillie Reed Martin; sisters, Gladys Trapp, Effie Mae Lucas and Irene Burnett; and brother, Joe "Buddy" Martin. She is survived by her children, Carol Segers (Scotty), Floyd Lucas, Jr. (Sheila) and Regina Lucas (Shawna); grandchildren, Cameron Guyton (Jessica), Andrew Guyton, Savannah Lucas, Hallie Lucas, Colin Lucas, Carson Lucas and Camille; great-grandchildren, Alex Guyton, Harper Guyton and Kinzleigh Guyton; and numerous nieces and nephews, including special nieces, Janice Burt, Gloria Merritt and Barbara Jo Lawrence.

A visitation for Billie will be held Sunday, May 7, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Rockco Funeral Home, 3715 Highway 25, Montevallo, Alabama 35115, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.

Billie will be laid to rest in Ashby Cemetery, Brierfield, Alabama.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests any memorial donations be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at ww.stjude.org.
