April 16, 2025 | Age 90 | Montebello, California
With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of Antonio Valle del Real, a devoted father, cherished grandfather, and beloved member of the Montebello community. Antonio passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at the age of 90.
A true man of the land, Antonio was a proud horse rancher, whose life was defined by early mornings in the saddle, the steady rhythm of hooves across open fields, and a deep, abiding connection to the animals he loved and cared for. His ranch was not only his livelihood, but his sanctuary — a place where hard work, honor, and a lifelong respect for nature came together in every stride and every sunset.
Born with the spirit of the West in his heart, Antonio spent his life nurturing both the land and the values that shaped him — tradition, family, and faith. His hands told the story of a life well-lived: of hay bales lifted, saddles worn smooth, and horses trained with patience and trust.
Antonio was known for his generous heart, his love of storytelling, and the quiet wisdom he passed down through generations. He taught others not only how to care for a horse, but how to live with purpose, humility, and gratitude. Whether offering guidance from his porch, sharing a warm smile at a family gathering, or extending a helping hand to a neighbor in need, Antonio left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
He leaves behind a lasting legacy not only in the ranch he tended, but in the lives, he shaped through his kindness, his grit, and his deep love for family and community. His memory will live on in every open field, in every gallop on the breeze, and in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
A visitation to honor Antonio’s life will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Montebello, located at 913 West Whittier Blvd, Montebello, CA 90640.
As we say farewell, we take comfort in knowing that Antonio now rides free in the eternal pastures, where the sun always shines, the horses run wild, and the work is finally done.
