I met Mr. Hofer several times years ago when Priscilla lived in Lompoc. He was a very stern man most of the time yet always seemed to have that soft spot for his family. He was a good man and my prayers are with you, Priscilla, and the rest of the family.

Uncle Walter I am so glad I had a chance to tell you thank you for all that you have done for me. You made me feel like one of your girls I can never express how now as an adult I see what you did for me. You took me in to your house when I felt like no one else wanted me (I am sure with a little of Aunt Carmen's encouragement) You treated me no different even when it came to holidays or punishments. (I know I was a handful LOL)  I am also thankful that my boys were able to see what a wonderful man you were to me & them. I will love you and miss you always your favorite niece.

You were my oldest Brother, I thought you hung the moon for me.  I have sweet memories of growing up with you.  You became my touchstone, I knew, I could call you and you were the voice of reason.
I will always love you.  You were a good man with a good heart. Until we meet again, you are in my prayers.  Love your baby sister...Melanie

Walter, thank you for allowing me into your family and into your life. I will always cherish the time I was able to spend with you learning and laughing. Nobody could have asked for a more perfect Father-in-law. I love you and will miss you.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time and always.  It is always so sad when we lose people we love but we all know you are in a better place.

I thank God for you! I couldn't have asked for a better father. Thank you for always being there for me. I look forward to seeing you in heaven, where I know you are watching over all of us. I LOVE YOU DAD!

Dad, You were the most amazing man in the world to me. Besides my dad, you were my friend! I relied on you for so much and want you to know you will never be forgotten!!

I knew you for a short time but you always made me feel comfortable and welcomed …you talked to me the way old friends do and for that I will always have that memory of you in my heart. I enjoyed how you (with your arms folded) just sat and observed everyone talk…not saying a word.  Did we really want to know what you were thinking? Probably not!!!(smiling)     Priscilla is very blessed to have such a LOVING guardian angel watching over her.

Thank you Walter for making me feel like part of your family.  I feel like I've lost my second Father.  I hope you rest in peace.  I will look out for your Priscilla and always be her friend.  You are in a new place, but will never be forgotten in the old one.  I love you Walter!  And I will make sure that the grass gets watered and your family is happy.  It's only fair if you do the same.

Walter thanks for taking care of me all these years, supporting me and making sure I was very well taken care of. You spoiled me all these years. You are the best son in law a lady could ever ask for. I will always love you and you will always be in my heart. Until we meet again.

You may be gone, but you will never ever be forgotten.  I will always remember lunch times when Carmen and I would talk and complain about thing and you would always listen.  Just want to say thanks for sharing your time with me.
