Shirley Reid of Arcadia, California, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 21, 2012 at the age of 84. She was born Shirley Ann Riha, on August 31, 1927 in Berwyn, Illinois to Frank and Rose Riha. Shirley married her husband, William Reid, on April 26, 1949 in San Marino, California. They began their life journey together setting roots in Arcadia, California. Shirley was predeceased by her loving husband, William (“Bill”), and brother, Gene. Shirley was an active member of the Temple City Women’s Club.
She is survived by her son, Paul; daughter-in-law, Mary; granddaughter, Kathryn; and her faithful dog, Greta. Services will be held on Friday, March 30, 2012, 10:00 A.M. at Turner & Stevens Live Oak Memorial Park in Monrovia, California.
In lieu of flowers, family is requesting to make a donation, in Shirley's name, to the City of Hope.
