Morley Albert Thomas Lyle, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, pastor, and dedicated nurse, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at the age of 74. Born on August 21, 1949, in Dryden, Ontario, Canada. Morley was the cherished son of Doreen Falkingham Lyle and the late Albert John Lyle. Growing up in a humble household with four siblings, he developed a strong sense of family and a passion for helping others.
Morley’s journey took him from the small town of Dryden to the bustling city of Los Angeles. After earning his Nursing Degree from Winnipeg General Hospital in 1971. He embarked on a distinguished career spanning over 45 years. His expertise in Critical Care, Psychiatric Nursing, Case Management, and Utilization Review made a profound impact across various hospitals throughout Los Angeles County.
In April 1974, Morley married his soulmate, Lilia Madarcos, in a small and intimate ceremony that marked the beginning of a remarkable partnership. Over the past 50 years, their love has been a guiding light, and together they raised three children: Cesar Gannod, Melinda Littlefield, and Mandy Littlefield. Morley’s love for his family was evident in everything he did.
Beyond his professional life, Morley was an Ordained Minister who found joy in learning, teaching, sharing, and studying Christianity & different religions. His dedication to spiritual growth was underscored by his Master’s Degree in Theology. He balanced his passion for Nursing with his commitment to his faith, bringing comfort and inspiration to those around him.
Morley is survived by his devoted wife, Lilia, and their children: Cesar, Melinda, and Mandy. He is also lovingly remembered by his mother, Doreen Lyle, and siblings Lee-ette Millar, Melanie Moen, Linda Collard, and Lorne Lyle. He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Lyle, who passed away in 2005.
A celebration of Morley’s life will be held on August 31, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at Live Oak Memorial Park and Mortuary, located at 200 E Duarte Rd, Monrovia, CA 91016. Family and friends are invited to honor and remember a man whose life was defined by compassion, faith, and unwavering love.
