Jasmine Hope De La Cruz

Jasmine Hope De La Cruz was born in Los Angeles, CA on September 6, 1997 to her parents Jerry and April. Jasmine spent 23 years uplifting the people around her, by using an intuitive sense of knowing when someone needed encouragement. Throughout her life she charmed those around her; she provided laughs, friendship, and an endless source of inspiration.

Nothing moved Jasmine more than music and the power it has to change the lives of others. In her late teens and early 20's, Jasmine poured her soul into the lyrics she wrote. As she discovered herself musically she began devoting her time, energy, and resources to funding her passion for creating music. Known musically as Jas the Poet she immediately impressed her peers and family members with her work. She was an extremely enterprising individual and envisioned a musical community that she would build to help further herself and the artist around her in reaching people with their art. At the time of her passing she had just begun operations on the branding of a clothing line she felt represented her and the music she made. She called her work “Dream World Visions'' as an ode to manifesting the lifestyles one sees in their own dreams and the hustle it takes to achieve those ambitions.

Her audience began to grow exponentially as she was reaching more people than ever with the music, visuals, and connections she created. Jasmine's circle of friends and collaborators was, and remains, markedly large for her age. She contained energy that broke boundaries and barriers of all kinds; this only widened and diversified the mixture of people moved by her. Above all else, regardless of the personal difficulties she faces and her artistic ambitions, Jasmine's love for her friends and family was pure. She genuinely wanted you to feel better; to do better, and for that and much more, she will be deeply missed.

Jasmine is survived by April (Mother), Jerry (Father), Kimberly (Partner); Richard & Matthew (Brothers), and Brooke (sister).
