Irene Pilar Reyes

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Irene Pilar Reyes, who left this world peacefully on April 2, 2025, at the age of 83, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on October 15, 1941, in El Salvador, Irene was the cherished daughter of Julia Sánchez and José Maximiliano Umaña. A devoted and loving mother, she raised five children: Rafael, Julia, Marvin (†), Celeste, and Erika. Her heart extended far beyond her immediate family—she deeply loved her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, and friends, each of whom felt the warmth of her generous spirit.

Irene dedicated over 40 years to her work as a certified nurse’s assistant, a role she embraced with compassion and purpose. Her natural instinct to care for others touched the lives of many. Outside of her profession, she found joy in traveling, gardening, and creating beautiful, handmade treasures through her crochet.

Irene’s legacy lives on in the love she gave so freely, the values she instilled in her family, and the joy she brought to everyone around her. Though we mourn her passing, we find comfort in the countless memories we shared—and in knowing her love will forever remain in our hearts.

She is survived by her son, 3 daughters, 3 sons-in-law, 6 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.

Con profundo dolor, anunciamos el fallecimiento de nuestra querida madre, Irene Pilar Reyes, quien partió de este mundo en paz el 2 de abril de 2025, a la edad de 83 años, rodeada del amor de su familia.

Nacida el 15 de octubre de 1941 en El Salvador, Irene fue la amada hija de Julia Sánchez y José Maximiliano Umaña. Fue una madre dedicada y amorosa que crió a cinco hijos: Rafael, Julia, Marvin (†), Celeste y Erika. Su amor no conocía límites y alcanzó a sus nietos, bisnietos, hermanos, sobrinas, sobrinos y amistades, todos ellos tocados por su generoso espíritu.

Irene dedicó más de 40 años a su labor como asistente de enfermería certificada, una vocación que abrazó con compasión y entrega. Su instinto natural de cuidar a los demás dejó huella en muchas vidas. Fuera del trabajo, disfrutaba de viajar, jardinear y crear hermosas piezas con su talento para el crochet.

El legado de Irene vive en el amor que brindó sin medida, en los valores que inculcó en su familia y en la alegría que compartió con quienes la rodearon. Aunque sentimos su partida, hallamos consuelo en los innumerables recuerdos que compartimos y en saber que su amor vivirá por siempre en nuestros corazones.

Le sobreviven su hijo, 3 hijas, 3 yernos, 6 nietos y 3 bisnietos.
