Deborah was born August 19, 1953, in Toledo, Ohio, to the union of Pete, Jr. and Mary Reese, who preceded her in death. She was the eldest of five children and was a member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church in Toledo.
Her formal education was gained in Toledo, Ohio at Gunckel Elementary School and Libbey High School. In 1973, Deborah moved to Pomona, California to experience life on the West Coast.
Deborah, working tirelessly, furthered her education and became a Registered Nurse working at City of Hope Hospital and became Charge Nurse at Hollenbeck Home in East Los Angeles before retiring. After retirement, she continued her love for helping people with her unwavering commitment to her Church family at The Family Church International in Pasadena, California, under the pastoral leadership of Bishop Donnie Williams and Pastor Valerie Williams, where she remained a faithful member. She was a “Prayer Warrior” for many.
On December 17, 1977 Deborah married Henry Myers. She was truly passionate about her family, enjoyed cooking and was known as the “fashionista” of the family. She strived to instill respect, love and kindness in her three sons whom she adored immensely.
Deborah leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Henry, sons Donya (Judy), Henry Jr., and Michael; granddaughter, Raenecia, grandson Donya, Jr. and great-grandson Myles; brothers Pete Reese, III (Robin), Charles Reese, sisters Cheryl Reese and Helen Reese, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends.
