Winnie (Vos) Miedema went to be with the Lord on July 10, 2018 at the age of 90. She was born in Sultan, WA on October 17, 1927. Winnie was a member of New Hope Fellowship in Monroe where she played the organ and taught Sunday School for many years. She dairy farmed with her husband in the Tualco Valley of Monroe. She also enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. Winnie leaves behind her 3 children, Henry J. Miedema (Sylvia), Jean Miedema (Brent), and William Miedema (Sara), brother William Vos, 8 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Henry Miedema in 2011, beloved grandson Brian Samuel Mutt in 2000, and 4 brothers. A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 16, 2018 at 11am at the Sultan Cemetery on Cascade View Drive in Sultan, WA. A memorial service honoring Winnie’s life will follow at 1pm at New Hope Fellowship, 1012 W. Main St., Monroe, WA. Donations in her name may be made to New Hope Fellowship.
