Robert (Gene) Walters, 63, of Snohomish, Washington passed away on March, 16th 2020 from cancer.
Gene was born in Ketchikan, Alaska to Robert & Mattie Walters on Sept. 17th, 1956. He has a younger sister Jeri of Anchorage, Alaska. He married Janice Pratt in 1976 and together raised two children, Daniel and Kimberly. Gene graduated from the University of Washington and was part-owner of Vernon Publications, LLC, along with Trevor Vernon.
Gene’s proudest achievements were his two children, Daniel and Kimberly. He loved sports, especially the Seahawks and the Lakers, but watching his son play sports was one of his fondest memories. He enjoyed sharing music with his daughter and discussing the qualities of his favorite craft beer. Every summer he would return to Ketchikan to fish and catch up with long-time friends, who he dearly loved. He will be remembered by his family and friends as a smart, funny, generous, loyal, and genuine man.
Gene is survived by his wife, Janice, children, Daniel (wife Kendra and granddaughter Lenorah June) and Kimberly, mother Mattie Walters, sister Jeri Walters and his beloved puppies Zach & Kali. Gene was preceded in death by his father, Robert Walters in 2016.
A Celebration of Life will be held on September 13th 2020 at The Golf Club at Echo Falls, assuming gatherings will be allowed.
