Karen graduate from Watson Groen High School in Seattle; she attended the Trinity College in Illinois. Karen also attended class at La Brea, Switzerland, she received her nursing degree in Holland and in Washington State. Later she finished her BA Degree in Special Education. Her focus of care was with Special Needs Children.
Karen was preceded in death by her daughter Theresa.
Karen is survived by her husband Ken of 27years, by her children Zack, Anna, & Josh, by her parents Art & Grace DeGroot, by her brothers Jim (Carma), Evan (Cindy) and sister Patti (Mel), also numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
