Jeffrey Gregg Olson

Jeffrey Gregg Olson, born May 1, 1953 to Darwin D. and Mary Catherine Strom Olson in Monroe, WA, departed this life from ALS on March 19, 2018 in Monroe, WA. He was 64. Jeff graduated from Monroe High School, Class of 1971. He went on to WSU and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Science Degree in 1975. He married Sharon Hughes in 1980. Jeff worked at the family business, OK Electric, with his father and brothers before forming a partnership with his brother Brad. He was a hard, dedicated worker and could always be found at the shop. Jeff is survived by his daughters Lyla Brown (Jeremy), Karla Maik (Mark), and Charlene Kennedy (Mike), brothers Brad Olson and Dennis Olson, 5 grandsons, and 1 great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his father, his brother Brett, his wife Sharon, and grandson Drew. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 11AM at the IOOF Cemetery, 21714 Old Owen Rd., Monroe. Eagles members and invited guests are welcome to join the family later that afternoon at 2PM for a celebration of Jeff’s life at the Granite Falls Eagles Club, 402 N. Granite Ave., Granite Falls. Memorial donations in Jeff’s name may be made to the ALS Association, alsa.org.
