Harold C. Johnson passed away peacefully at home on March 5, 2014 with his wife Marian at his side. He was born to Axel and Martha Johnson on August 30, 1928 in Lucca, ND. After living and working in Fargo, ND, he moved to Kindred, ND and met the love of his life, Marian Jensen, who was employed at the Kindred State Bank. They were married October 15, 1950. In the Spring Harold was drafted and left to serve in the Korean War. Upon his return from Korea he returned to Kindred to work for a short time at John Deere Implement. He was later rehired by Cass County Electric and worked there until the fall of 1967 at which time he moved his family to Monroe, WA to work for Snohomish County PUD. He retired in 1988 after 21 years of service. Upon retiring, Harold and Marian purchased vacation property in Rim Rock Cove in Eastern Washington where Harold enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his friends and family. He really enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and later great-grandchildren. Harold was known in the neighborhood for his ability to fix anything. He was an active member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Snohomish and worked at the Community Kitchen when his church served the evening meal. Harold leaves behind his loving wife Marian, sons Steven (Jan), Rodney, Dean (Julie), Kendall (Susie), his sister Carol Ness (Don), sister-in-laws Agnes Mulholland (Bob) and Dorothy Ronning (Hilding), grandchildren Heather, Trisha, Dylan, Jeremy, Kalen, Jacob, and Brady, 9 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Axel and Martha, brothers Vernon (Lorna) and Alton (Edel), sisters Evelyn Walters (John), Marian Wadeson (Jerome) and Bernice Griffen (Bufford). A celebration of Harold’s life will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 1pm at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 1305 Pine Ave., Snohomish.
