9/30/1977 - 3/24/2025
He lived his life in Snohomish County and graduated from Monroe High School. His home was in Arlington. He attended the Sultan Methodist Church with family for many years.
Curtis was a foster child for 2 years with Fern Wright who was then able to adopt him, and he came into a large extended family. She felt that she as a dwarf has understanding and empathy for a child with special needs.
Curtis was treated at Children's Orthopedic Hospital, Seattle, for his entire childhood having multiple surgeries. He didn't let his physical ailments stop him and his mother and other family members encouraged his seeking goals. His interest and classes in computer science led him to work through dyslexia and obtain a driver's license.
His determination to become a bus driver led him to seek out training for a CDL license. He was hired by CoachUSA at age 20 because of his driving skills. Later he was hired by Community Transit where he drove bus for 23 years. His route over the past few years was Everett to Gold Bar.
Curtis is survived by many friends, coworkers and community members, and numerous cousins all over Puget Sound, Eastern Washington, California, and Idaho. He was preceded by his mother, Fern Wright; uncle and aunt Maurice and Ena Young who became his guardians after his mother's death; uncles Perry, Homer, Curtis, Eldroe, Vernon, Stanley; aunts Alvada Seabrands and Grace Cady. His is survived by Aunt Eula Schwartz. Services are pending.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord. Wrap him in the arms of Jesus.
