Calvin H. Willson went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 14th. He passed away at home, snug in his own bed, surrounded by his family. Cal leaves behind his wife Becky, his sons William Willson and C.J. Morris III (Shawna), his sister Ada Roberts (Norm), his brand new grandson Joey, and many other family members and dear friends.
Cal was born on June 1, 1939, in Raymond, Washington to Emma and Calvin Willson. He grew up in and around the Tacoma area. At 17, he joined the Air Force . Cal spent his career working in telephony. In 1992, he retired from GTE. Cal and Becky have lived in Monroe, WA for the past 27 years.
Cal was a technician and gardener at heart. He could fix and grow anything. He always had a cup of coffee in his hand. Cal spent his retirement spoiling his wife, panning for gold, fishing, gardening, bowling, and loving his family and friends. He will be dearly missed.
A celebration of Cal's life will be held on Monday, June 1, 2015, at 3pm at Purdy & Kerr with Dawson Funeral Home, 409 W. Main St., Monroe, WA
