He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Joyce, and his children, daughter Debbie Page (Nathan) and son Jeff Little (Linda). In addition, he has many adorable grandchildren and great grandchildren who affectionately referred to him as their Papa, along with many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter D. and Nell P. Davis; his brothers, Marvin, Harry and Tommy Davis; and his sister, Betty Bowlin, all of Monroe, NC.
His many hobbies included spending time with his family and friends, especially his many friends at Twin Harbor in Mt. Gilead, NC where he spent the last nine years of his life. For many years, he was actively involved with the Shriners and the Shriners Hospital where he ministered to many of the families. He and Joyce often made trips to Oxford, NC to pick up the children from the Shriners Orphanage and bring them to families in Monroe to spend the holidays, including hosting two young girls who were sisters in their own home.
He enjoyed woodworking, spending time with his church family, reading his bible, and witnessing to anyone that he came in contact with. He loved to talk about Jesus and never missed an opportunity to share his testimony and tell those he interacted with that “You are special and God loves you and so do I”.
