Virginia Goodwin

Virginia was born May 8th 1926 in Monroe, NC. She was the daughter of the late Beecher and Lucy Benton. Virginia retired from Monroe Hardware where she followed in her father’s footsteps and worked for over 20 years.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Waddell Goodwin.

Survivors include two sons Frank Goodwin and wife, Patsy of Richmond Hill GA, Randy Goodwin and wife, Lynn of Monroe NC; one daughter Lou Ann Goodwin Hinson of Monroe NC; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and three great-great- grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 11th 2019 at Lakeland Memorial Park in Monroe, NC.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Virginia’s name to First Baptist Church of Monroe or to Hospice of Union County. McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe is honored to serve the Goodwin family.
