Virginia L. Crook

Virginia L. Crook, 99, died September30, 2018 at Autumn Care in Marshville. Mrs. Crook was born September 22, 1919 in Union County, where she was a lifelong resident. She was the daughter of the late Ada and Titus Long. Virginia (Giner) was a lifetime member of Ebenezer Truelight Church. She was a hardworking homemaker and loved to garden and cook. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Crook was predeceased by her husband, W.C. (Dub) Crook; brothers, Jesse, Max, Gerald and Ray and sister, Eunice, Mildred, Bernice and Ailene. She is survived by her daughter, Dean Myers (husband, Chuck); sons, Cecil Crook (wife, Vanessa), Mitchell Crook (wife Paula) and Dale Crook (wife, Elaine); 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 6:30 until 8:30 on Tuesday October 2 at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 3 followed by burial at Lakeland Memorial Park.
