The family will receive friends from 2:00pm until 3:00pm Sunday, June 17, 2018 at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe. A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Pollock will be held at 3:00pm with Reverend Charles Broome officiating. Interment will follow the services in Monroe City Cemetery.
Mrs. Pollock was born in Indian Trail on October 22, 1932, to the late B.B. and Irie Dellinger. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Methodist Church and a lifelong resident of Union County. Pat spent her life lovingly fulfilling her roles of daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She was a devoted wife and loving mother who was happiest being a homemaker and helping others. She was much loved and known as “Mama Pat” by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and others very close to her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Earl Pollock; daughter Sandy Pollock Walters; and sisters Janie Winchester and Mae Padgett. Survivors include: son Dennis Pollock and wife Sandy L. Pollock of Monroe; daughter Diane Vona and husband Russell Vona of Fayetteville; seven grandsons, Richie Vona and Cameron Vona, of Fayetteville, Scott Vona (Julie Anna) of Fort Mill SC, and Michael Vona of Charlotte, Jason Pollock (Jacklyn) of Monroe, Campbell Walters of Greenville SC, and Nicholas Mullis of Monroe. Two granddaughters: Jessica Drake (Scott) of Monroe, and Lauren Pollock of Monroe; four great grandsons: Weston Pollock, Bryson Pollock, Trenton Pollock and Kolton Drake of Monroe. One great granddaughter Emma Drake of Monroe; two sisters, Betty Broome of Monroe; and Ann Privette of Charlotte; as well as many nieces and nephews.
