Ronald was born on November 13, 1944, in Monroe, NC. He graduated from Parkwood High School in 1963. Ronald married his wife, Eva, in 1966. They welcomed son, Steven, in 1975 and daughter, April, in 1977. He worked for 34 years as a shipping supervisor at Perfect Fit Industries in Monroe, NC. Early in life Ronald enjoyed playing horseshoes, basketball and softball. He also was a very active member of West Monroe Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and as a member of many other ministries. Ronald was also an avid North Carolina Tarheels fan. For the past two years, Ronald was a resident of White Oaks Manor Nursing Home of Waxhaw.
Ronald is survived by his devoted wife Eva Huntley, brother Kemp Huntley (Marlene) of Wadesboro, son Steven Huntley (Holly) of Raleigh and daughter April Skinner (Wade) of Indian Trail; grandchildren Lucas Huntley, Sophie Huntley, Levi Huntley, Oliver Huntley and Elijah Skinner. He was also survived by many nieces and nephews. Ronald was preceded in death by his father Claude Huntley and his mother Sadie Presson Huntley, brothers W.T. Huntley, L.M. Huntley and sisters Osalene Huntley, Mary Cranford and Ora Lee Boger.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 11:30 AM at West Monroe Baptist Church, located at 1212 Icemorlee Street, Monroe, NC. A memorial service for Ronald is scheduled for Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 12:45 pm also at the church, immediately followed by a graveside burial ceremony at New Salem Baptist Church on Goldmine Rd.
